It closes with a 30 minute online examination which consists of 40 multiple choice and true-false style questions, designed to test comprehension of course materials.

On successful completion, the BREEAM Associate title and badge of recognition are awarded and can be used to verify BREEAM knowledge and credentials.

BREEAM International Refurbishment and Fit-Out

https://bre.ac/course/breeam-international-refurbishment-and-fit-out-online/

The BREEAM International Refurbishment and Fit-Out scheme has been developed to tailor sustainable assessments specifically for refurbishment and fit-out projects. There is flexibility to incorporate a range of refurbishment and fit-out project types, with specific criteria for historic buildings, addressing restrictions on standard refurbishment and fit-out options. Early engagement of the scheme identifies the optimum refurbishment and fit-out practices. Its performance benchmarks reward improvements to the poorest performing buildings, while also recognising those that perform well.

BREEAM In-Use

https://www.bre.co.uk/eventdetails.jsp?id=15457

BREEAM In-Use is designed to help building managers and owners reduce the running costs and improve the environmental performance of existing buildings.  The scheme uses an assessment tool that can be completed by building managers and owners to self-assess their buildings. These self-assessments have to be audited by independent BREEAM In-Use assessors before certification can be granted.
